Russ, along with his lovely wife, Cindy, started Crossroads as a church plant. They have a huge heart for the community of Yelm, and are always smiling, friendly faces. Russ and Cindy really are at the heart of Crossroads, loving and welcoming all who come through the doors. They have four lovely children, and a herd of grandchildren! You will hear frequently a "Go Packers," a "Go Dodgers," or a "Go Lakers" from Russ on a Sunday morning, but most importantly you will hear a "God is good" declared.
Dave began in the ministry in 1972 when he joined the staff of Youth for Christ. His journey from that point led him to positions as youth pastor, associate pastor, and then as a church planting pastor, founding a thriving church in Silicon Valley, out of which he planted three other churches. He was an honored history scholar at the University of California and attended Fuller Seminary. He was ordained in 1979 and spent his whole adult life in pastoral ministry until his retirement. Dave and his wife Glenda moved from Silicon Valley to Yelm in 2015 and they have been active in the church ever since. He was recently invited to come out of retirement and join the pastoral team here at Crossroads to offer his experience and gifting to help the church continue to grow in its mission and ministry here in Yelm and throughout the world.
