Russ, along with his lovely wife, Cindy, started Crossroads as a church plant. They have a huge heart for the community of Yelm, and are always smiling, friendly faces. Russ and Cindy really are at the heart of Crossroads, loving and welcoming all who come through the doors. They have four lovely children, and a herd of grandchildren! You will hear frequently a "Go Packers," a "Go Dodgers," or a "Go Lakers" from Russ on a Sunday morning, but most importantly you will hear a "God is good" declared.
Debbie is a spunky red head whose strong love for the Lord is greatly reflected in her music and worship. She has over 20 years of experience recording her own Christian music albums and performing live for numerous audiences. In addition to weekly Sunday worship, Debbie utilizes her creative skills towards Crossroads' yearly Christmas play and other specialty worship services and events throughout the year. Debbie has developed an amazing team of people, all of whom have huge hearts for worship, and each week they bring a fantastic worship experience to Crossroads. Debbie and her husband Pat have two married daughters and three grand daughters. They love riding their motorcycles, performing with their band Clownfish and enjoying time with friends.
Youth & Family Pastor
Mike was called into ministry by God right here in the front row at Crossroads one Sunday morning in 2018. Mike is a husband, father, friend and WSU COUG but above all, a man that loves Christ. In his former, secular career he was a police officer and specialized in sneaking up on people, frankly speaking.... now you can always hear him coming in his flip flops regardless of the time of year!
Children's Ministry Director
Crissy was called into ministry in the summer of 2018 as the Children's Ministry Director. She is an early childhood educator by profession and has been active in many areas of Christian leadership. In addition to leading the Children's Ministry program, Crissy homeschools her children and is always thinking about the next outdoor adventure (hopefully in the sunshine!) Crissy is excited to use the gifts and experiences that she has been blessed with to partner with parents in bringing up the next generation of kids to know, love and follow Jesus! She looks forward to meeting you and your family!
Laura has been with Crossroads since 2003, and is the lead expert to the ins and outs of how Crossroads functions and operates. Laura is the person to talk to for just about everything, and is at the front lines of making the machine that is Crossroads run smoothly. Laura is often found with a smile on her face, a cup of coffee in hand, and wearing some form of purple attire.
Cyndie has been working at Crossroads since 2015, and is such a warm presence when you walk through the doors. Cyndie is often the right hand woman of Laura in the office, and makes your day warm and bright with her friendly smile. Cyndie, her husband, and their children are a bundle of fun, and we encourage you to get to know them.
Bi-Vocational Associate Pastor
Greg and his family have been a part of the Crossroads family since 2007. They have walked with Crossroads as it has "grown up" from a Church plant into what it is today and Crossroads has walked with Greg as he has "grown up" into his role as a Bi-Vocational Associate Pastor. Greg's passion is to see the Church expanding and equipped for mission around the world. A graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary (Mdiv: 2018), Greg has over 15 years of leading and participating in missional activities around the world. From smuggling Bibles into China years ago, to serving on the Board of Directors of HIS International today, Greg brings a wealth of experience and know how to the area of International Missions at Crossroads.
Betty Weaver wears many hats. She isn't hard to find as she has a part behind the scenes in most events hosted at the church. She has a helping heart and is always eager to lend a hand. As Ministry Assistant Betty makes each event that much easier for those involved.
Hugo is a natural Mr. fix it. Anything that needs to be done maintaining the building or the grounds he makes sure is completed. He is always looking for ways to improve the property, and we are grateful for his talents.
